Bordeaux's international stars have wrapped up their patriotic duties and are on their way back to Le Haillan.

Samuel Kalu/Josh Maja, Ukraine - Nigeria : 2-2

It all started so well for Nigeria. Samuel Kalu got the first goal (4'), then won a penalty which a team-mate converted (33') to put the Nigerians  2-0 up at half-time.
But Ukraine pulled back two goals in quick succession towards the end of the game. Josh Maja was sent on as a late sub (90') but the score stayed put at 2-2. Samuel Kalu earned his 10th cap, while young Josh Maja made his first ever appearance for the Super Eagles.

Mexer, Mozambique - Mauritius: 2-0

Having won the away leg 1-0, Mexer and co again got the better of Mauritius at home (2-0) to move one step closer to qualifying for World Cup 2022. Mexer played the full 90 minutes.

Ui-Jo Hwang, Turkmenistan - South Korea: 0-2

After scoring twice against Georgia a few days ago (2-2), Ui-Jo Hwang drew a blank this time. But Hwang was his usual dynamic self in attack, and the Koreans still emerged 2-0 winners. He was subbed off in the 82nd minute, and was able to savour his team's first victory in a World Cup 2022 qualifier. This was Ui-Jo's 29th international cap.

Youssef Aït Bennasser, Morocco - Niger : 1-0

Morocco beat Niger 1-0 in this friendly. Having taken the lead in the first half (21'), Vahid Halilhodžić's side closed out the game after the break. Youssef Aït Bennasser was an unused substitute.

Raoul Bellanova, Italy U21 - Luxembourg U21: 5-0

Italy's young hopefuls thrashed their counterparts from Luxembourg. Thanks to two penalties in the first half, Italy established a comfortable lead and cruised through the second period. Raoul Bellanova did not feature in this match.
