Yassine Benrahou has joined Nîmes Olympique on a permanent basis.

The Girondins de Bordeaux can now officially confirm the transfer of Yassine Benrahou to Nîmes Olympique (L1). The attacking midfielder has been on loan with the Crocodiles since January.

Born in January 1999 in Blanc-Mesnil (93), Yassine played for several clubs in the Paris region before joining the Girondins Academy at the age of 15. He rose through the ranks in Bordeaux, enjoying some notable successes along the way.

Yassine was part of the team that won the French U19 championship in 2017. He also helped the Reserves to win promotion to National 2 in 2017-2018.

He made his Ligue 1 debut under Paulo Sousa at the end of the 2018-2019 season, coming on as a substitute against Lyon and making his first start against Angers.

Yassine made six appearances for the Girondins last season (providing one assist) before moving to Nîmes on loan where he made a further 10 appearances, scoring twice and providing 3 assists.

Yassine has now opted to join the Crocodiles on a permanent basis. He will be well-remembered here in Bordeaux, and on behalf of everybody at the Club we wish him all the very best for the next step in his career.
